Meaty Monday & New Sirloin Tip Recipe!

Good Morning everyone!

For today’s Meaty Monday special we have:
Bottom Round Roast @ $4.79/LB, Sirloin Tip Steaks @ $5.99/LB, & Boneless Pork Chops @ $4.59/LB!

Jess is freshly cutting these and other steaks, so be sure to stop in throughout the day!

Bottom Round Roasts go great in the crock pot (a recipe you can find here!), and Sirloin Tip Steaks can replace Top Sirloin Steaks easily enough (like in this recipe here) or in a recipe all their own like the one below!

Petite Sirloin Steaks

Open Face Steak Reuben
Recipe Type: Easy
Author: Real Simple
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Total time: 15 mins
Serves: 4
Quick and easy open face steak sandwiches!
Ingredients
  • 1 LB Sirloin Tip Steak (or Top Sirloin Steak)
  • 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
  • Salt for taste
  • Pepper for taste
  • 4 Slices Rye Bread
  • 1 Cup Sauerkraut
  • 8 Slices Swiss or other Mild White Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Russian Dressing (Can replace this with Thousand Island Dressing as I do instead)
  • Favorite bag of Chips
Instructions
  1. Heat broiler. Season the steak with ½ teaspoon each salt and pepper. Cook in the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, 3 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  2. Toast the bread.
  3. Dividing evenly, top the bread with the dressing, Steak, Sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Broil until the cheese melts, 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Serve the sandwiches with the chips.
