2017 is the year of the Rooster this Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year is this Saturday, and to celebrate the year of the Fire Rooster we have a few specials in the Deli & Meat Department.

Chinese New Year, also known as the “Spring Festival”, is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Celebrations usually run from evening of the first day to the 15th marking the end with the Lantern Festival. 2017 is the year of the Rooster, happening every 12 years (previously in 2005, 1993, 1981, 1957, 1945, and so on.)

Fresh Crab In Today!

Running this weekend we will be having a great deal on crab, just $5.99/LB on our 2lb fresh Dungeness Crab. We also have fresh Red Rockfish, Sea Scallops, Willapa Bay Clams, Oysters on the half shell just 99 cents a pop(great for shooters!), Raw Prawns, Cooked Prawns, Bay Shrimp, Sockeye Salmon, & Crab Cakes! In the meat case, we plenty of baby back ribs if you’re looking to cook up your own Chinese ribs this weekend too.

In the Deli, Ms. Kim has cooked up her special Chinese BBQ Pork Ribs for the weekend! We’ll have plenty of our baked Chicken Thighs & Breasts, Jeanie’s homemade entrees, and all the tasty grab n’ go items like Corn Dogs, Burritos, and JoJos.

We will also be sampling Tsing Tao, a Chinese beer, so stay tuned for a time update on that later today 🙂
