You can find American-raised Kobe beef (ground patties) for a much lower price than you might expect. The are two patties to a package (totally grass-fed, of course) weighing in at about a pound per package.
Kobe Beef is some really amazing stuff and was originated in Japan where it still sells as a delicacy for extremely high prices.
Manzanita Market’s Kobe Beef patties are from Pasture Perfect…an American company who raises natural, all grass-fed Wagyu beef.
Wagyu (和牛 Wagyū, literally means “Japanese cow”) refers to several breeds of cattle, the most desired of which is genetically predisposed to intense marbling and to producing a high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat (which new studies are showing is good for you if the source is 100% grass-fed.) The meat from such wagyu cattle is known for its quality, and demands a high price.
