Recipe Contest Runner Up: Maple Drop Cookies

  • Cookies
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 3 Tbs Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • ½ Tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup uncooked oats
  • Frosting
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 2 Tbs Maple Syrup
  • 1½ Cup Powdered Sugar
  1. For cookies, preheat the oven to 350. Beat ½ butter and sugar in bowl with a mixer until creamy. Beat in 3 tablespoons syrup. Combine flour, baking soda and salt - gradually beat into butter mixture. Next put in oats.
  2. Drop dough by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
  3. For frosting, beat cream cheese and 2 tbs butter in small bowl with mixer until smooth. Beat in 2 tbs syrup. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Spread frosting over cooled cookies."
